Overview

Kova ("the App") is developed by Tiven Labs. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal data. The App operates entirely on your device. Specifically:

No account or login required
No personal information is collected, stored, or transmitted
No analytics or tracking SDKs are included
No cookies or advertising identifiers are used
No location data is accessed

Local Data Storage

Kova stores the following data locally on your device:

Study progress — which words you've reviewed, your spaced repetition schedule, and streak data
Preferences — daily goal, exam type, dark mode setting, reminder time
Vocabulary data — word lists are bundled within the app

This data never leaves your device. It is not backed up to iCloud and is not accessible to Tiven Labs or any third party.

Network Activity

Kova makes zero network requests. The app is fully offline. The only network activity is Apple's StoreKit framework processing in-app purchases, which is handled entirely by Apple and subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Notifications

If you enable daily study reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No notification data is sent to any server. You can disable notifications at any time in the app's Settings or in iOS Settings.

In-App Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Purchase records are managed by Apple and can be viewed in your Apple ID settings.

Children's Privacy

Kova does not collect data from any user, including children under 13. The app is suitable for all ages.

Third-Party Services

Kova uses no third-party services, SDKs, or frameworks beyond Apple's own frameworks (SwiftUI, SwiftData, StoreKit, UserNotifications).

Data Deletion

You can delete all stored data at any time: open Settings in the app and tap "Reset Progress." This permanently removes all study history and progress from your device.

Changes

We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be posted at this URL. Given that the app collects no data, changes are unlikely.
