Frequently Asked Questions

How do I restore my purchase on a new device? Open the app, go to Settings, and tap "Restore Purchases." Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on any device.

How many free words are included? 100 words (50 GRE + 50 SAT) are free. The full $6.99 purchase unlocks all 2,500 words.

Does the app require an internet connection? No. Kova works 100% offline. All word data is bundled in the app. The only network activity is processing purchases through the App Store.

How does spaced repetition work? Kova uses the SM-2 algorithm to schedule reviews. Words you know well are shown less often. Words you struggle with appear more frequently. Over time, this moves words from short-term to long-term memory.

Can I reset my progress? Yes. Go to Settings and tap "Reset Progress." This resets all study data but keeps your word lists and purchases intact.

What's the difference between the quiz modes? Multiple Choice: Pick the correct definition from four options (recognition).
Type Answer: Type the word or definition from memory (recall).
Each mode is progressively harder to reinforce learning.

Will more exam packs be available? Yes. We plan to add vocabulary packs for GMAT, TOEFL, LSAT, MCAT, and ACT. Each pack will be a one-time purchase.
